Aston Martin up for Monaco fight with 'rocky' new special livery
Aston Martin unveils a striking colour-shifting livery for the Monaco Grand Prix, celebrating partner Maaden's role in transforming minerals into high-performance materials.
Aston Martin has unveiled a special livery for the Monaco Grand Prix, tracing the path from 'rock to the racetrack' in partnership with Maaden. The eye-catching design features a colour-shifting, iridescent finish created using a specialist wrap material for the first time in the team's history, visibly changing colour throughout the weekend.
Why it matters:
Monaco is the season's most glamorous and marketing-intensive race, making it the perfect stage for Aston Martin to showcase its partnership with Maaden, a leading mining and minerals company. The livery also highlights the critical role of material science in Formula 1, where the transformation of raw minerals into high-performance components is essential.
The details:
- The bespoke design will also appear on driver suits, helmets, and overalls of the number 1 mechanics for Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll.
- "This campaign highlights the important role Maaden plays in shaping and transforming materials into components we all use – including in F1," said managing director Jefferson Slack.
- The colour-shifting effect is achieved through a unique wrap material, a first for Aston Martin.
What's next:
The team will race with this special design on the streets of Monaco this weekend, aiming for a strong result on a track where track position and strategy are crucial.
