Liam Lawson describes being 'blind' in Japanese GP qualifying due to damaged front wing

Liam Lawson revealed that a broken front wing on his Racing Bulls car during Japanese GP qualifying created an unfamiliar balance, forcing him to drive 'blind' against evolving track conditions and costing him a better starting position.

Racing Bulls rookie Liam Lawson says a damaged front wing left him driving "blind" during a critical phase of Japanese Grand Prix qualifying, ultimately compromising his final grid position. The New Zealander, who had shown strong pace earlier in the session, was forced to adapt to a car with a radically different balance for his final Q2 run as track conditions evolved, leaving him unable to extract maximum performance.
