Red Bull's Radical Front Wing Addition Explained

Red Bull debuted the largest front wing diveplane on the grid in Miami, a major shift from its previous design. Technical expert Gary Anderson explains how this new component works to control airflow around the front tire, reducing lift and improving overall car efficiency by managing outwash.

Red Bull has introduced a significant and visually striking upgrade to its front wing at the Miami Grand Prix, moving from having no diveplane to fitting the largest version of the component on the grid. This new, flat winglet on the outside of the front wing endplate is a key part of the team's latest development package, aimed at refining airflow management around the front tires for greater aerodynamic efficiency.
