Timo Glock Runs Schumacher-Inspired Livery at Nürburgring 24 Hours

Former F1 driver Timo Glock pays tribute to Michael Schumacher with a retro Bitburger livery on his McLaren 720S at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, partnering with the Keep Fighting Foundation for the unique design.

Timo Glock will race this weekend at the Nürburgring 24 Hours in a McLaren 720S sporting a livery that replicates Michael Schumacher's 1995 Benetton B195, complete with Bitburger branding and period-correct mechanic overalls.

Why it matters:

The tribute livery, created in collaboration with the Keep Fighting Foundation, brings back a classic motorsport aesthetic and celebrates Schumacher's legacy. Glock, a former Toyota F1 driver, is one of three Grand Prix starters in the endurance race, alongside Max Verstappen and Markus Winkelhock.

The details:

  • Glock's McLaren is entered by Doerr Motorsport, his DTM team, after a last-minute car switch when another team withdrew.
  • The project started in December 2025, initiated by Glock's friend at Bembel With Care and beer brand Bitburger, which hadn't been in motorsport for 25 years.
  • The car features logos from the Keep Fighting Foundation, and mechanics wear suits inspired by Benetton's 1995 crew.
  • The team had minimal preparation due to a tragic accident in NLS4 and technical issues in NLS5, leaving them with little track time.

What's next:

Glock acknowledges the team lacks experience with the car on the Nordschleife and sets a realistic target: finish without problems. A top-10 result would be considered a massive achievement given the circumstances.
