F1 Extends Las Vegas Grand Prix Deal Through 2037

Formula 1 has locked in the Las Vegas Grand Prix for another decade, extending its contract until 2037 after the race delivered over $3 billion in economic impact. The neon-lit night race on the Strip will remain a fixture alongside Austin and Miami in F1's growing US lineup.

Las Vegas will host the Formula 1 Grand Prix until at least 2037 after a 10-year contract extension was confirmed ahead of this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix. The floodlit night race, which debuted in 2023, has quickly become a marquee event on the calendar.

Why it matters:

The extension solidifies F1's long-term commitment to the United States, where it now runs three races. Las Vegas joins Austin (contracted to 2034) and Miami (through 2041) as permanent fixtures in a market Liberty Media has prioritized for growth. Since its debut, the Las Vegas Grand Prix has generated $3.2 billion in cumulative economic impact for Southern Nevada, according to F1.

The details:

  • The 10-year extension ensures Las Vegas remains on the calendar through 2037, with this year's race scheduled for November 19-21.
  • All three editions so far have sold out, with last year's three-day attendance hitting 300,000.
  • The 2024 race generated $43 million in state and local tax revenue and contributed over $2 million to nonprofit organizations.
  • Max Verstappen won the inaugural 2023 race and returned to victory in 2025, while George Russell took the win in 2024 after McLaren's double disqualification.
  • F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali called the event “extraordinary,” noting it attracted global business leaders, celebrities, and influencers. Las Vegas GP president Emily Prazer called the extension a “defining moment.”

What's next:

With the contract locked in, the focus shifts to maintaining the event's momentum. The Las Vegas Grand Prix Inc., Clark County, and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority have all committed to the race's long-term future. F1 now has a guaranteed US presence through at least 2041 with Miami, and Las Vegas will remain a centerpiece of its American expansion strategy.
