Formula 1 Extends Las Vegas Grand Prix Deal Through 2037
F1 has signed a 10-year extension to keep the Las Vegas Grand Prix on the calendar through 2037, locking in the sport’s third U.S. race as a long-term fixture. The event has generated $3.2 billion in economic impact since its 2023 debut.
Just three years after its return to the calendar, Formula 1 has locked in the Las Vegas Grand Prix through 2037. The 10-year extension — agreed with local promoters, Clark County officials, and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority — secures the race’s place as a flagship event on the Strip.
Why it matters:
Las Vegas has quickly become one of F1’s most distinctive destinations, blending racing with entertainment and hospitality. The extension signals the championship’s long-term bet on the U.S. market, where it now has three races. Since 2023, the event has delivered $3.2 billion in cumulative economic impact to Southern Nevada and sold out all three editions.
The details:
- Stefano Domenicali, F1 President and CEO, called the event “extraordinary” and a “cornerstone of our presence in the United States.”
- Emily Prazer, CEO of Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc., described the extension as “a defining moment” and credited local partnerships for the race’s success.
- The agreement includes commitments to community initiatives and continued collaboration with resort partners along the Strip.
- The race debuted in 2023 after F1’s own $500 million investment in the paddock and track infrastructure.
Looking ahead:
With the calendar now set through the mid-2030s, Las Vegas joins other long-term U.S. deals (Miami through 2031, COTA through 2026 with options). The extension gives F1 stability in a key growth market and allows promoters to plan for further upgrades. Fans can expect the event’s signature night-race atmosphere and celebrity-studded grid to remain a fixture for years to come.
