Sergio Perez facing investigation before Monaco GP even starts

Sergio Perez is under investigation by Monaco Grand Prix stewards for allegedly failing to follow race director instructions during a practice start, with his hearing scheduled after the race. The Mexican will start 18th, while Gabriel Bortoleto will begin from the pit lane after stalling on his way out.

The Mexican will start in 18th place but must attend the stewards after the race.

Sergio Perez has been placed under investigation by Monaco Grand Prix stewards, but the hearing won't take place until after the race.

The Mexican driver has been called for allegedly failing to follow the race director's instructions on a practice start.

Replays showed the Cadillac driver ducked over the white line marking the pit-exit after opting not to wait behind the train of cars already in the queue.

Elsewhere, Liam Lawson suffered a scare after his Racing Bulls car nearly missed the pit-exit after mechanical trouble, but Gabriel Bortoleto will start the race from the pit-lane after stalling whilst making his way out of the pit-lane for Audi.
